Cookies and local storage
- Authentication cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following bases:
- Contract: to provide EZ Phone Help access, billing, and support you requested
- Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent fraud, screen unlock attempts against stolen-device records, analyze usage, and improve our services, balanced against your rights

- Legal obligation: where we must retain records for tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes
6. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the platform:
- Clerk: authentication, account management, and session security

- OpenRouter: routes Unlock AI chat requests to the configured language model provider (currently DeepSeek via OpenRouter)
- Fraud and device-screening providers: when you submit an unlock attempt we may send device identifiers (IMEI or serial), brand, model, lock type, referrer, and available contact details for the person attempting the unlock (name, email, IP address, and approximate city or country)
When you use Unlock AI, the content of your messages and recent chat history needed for context is transmitted to our AI infrastructure provider to generate a response.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of UnlockMaker, our users, or the public.
If UnlockMaker is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to this Privacy Policy.
7. International data transfers
UnlockMaker Inc. is established in Georgia. Our service providers may process data in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Georgia and the United States are not covered by an EU adequacy decision for all processing. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
We do not currently appoint an EU Article 27 representative. EEA, UK, and Swiss residents can contact support@unlockmaker.com for privacy requests and may complain to their local supervisory authority.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Account, subscription, intake, activity, support, and premium unlock records are kept while you remain a member and for up to 24 months afterward, unless a longer period is required for a dispute
- EEA/UK/CH digital-content consent records are kept for at least the statutory limitation period applicable to the contract (typically up to 6 years)
- Payment event records may be retained for accounting, tax, and chargeback resolution
- Pending access grants and activation tokens expire after 14 days if not claimed
- AI chat messages persist until you delete them or your account is deleted, subject to backup and usage-log retention
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed IP storage, webhook signature verification for payment events, and access controls on member-only routes.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and activation links.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based.
You can take the following actions directly:
- Update profile information through your Clerk account settings where available
- Delete Unlock AI chat history from the dashboard
- Cancel your subscription to stop future billing

We respond within 30 days where GDPR or UK GDPR applies. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
EEA and UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.
